I use cookies on my website. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored in the browser of your device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit my site. This cookie information is sent by your browser to my server every time you visit my website again. However, this does not mean that I immediately gain knowledge of your identity. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by these cookies about your use of this website (browser type, operating system used, referrer URL, IP address of the requesting computer, time of server request) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the demand-oriented design of these web pages. Notes on Special Functions
Integration of social media plugins, e.g., Facebook
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that the visitor's browser has accessed the corresponding page of the website, even if the visitor does not have a Facebook account or is not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including the IP address) is transmitted directly from the browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If the visitor is logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly assign the website visit to the Facebook account. When interacting with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Like" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to the user's Facebook friends. Facebook can use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research, and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. According to the legal situation up to now, it is recommended to use social media plugins only if it is ensured that the user's data is not sent to a third-party provider immediately and without consent upon accessing the website. Rather, the user must explicitly consent to the data processing before the social media plugins are activated. In this case, this would be the legal basis for processing the data.
Processing special categories of personal data (e.g., health data)
As a rule, special categories of personal data, such as health data, may not be processed. Exceptions apply, for example, in the case of explicit consent for a specific purpose or on the basis of a contract with a healthcare professional.
